The Office to Advance Women Apprentices Newfoundland and Labrador (OAWANL) has a mandate to increase employment opportunities for women in the skilled trades. This is achieved through the provision of support for tradeswomen with career services, employment supports, and networking. OAWANL has recently hired an Industry Partnership Specialist who will collaborate with companies to enhance the hiring of women apprentices and drive diversity in the skilled trades. The OAWANL team is looking forward to connecting with industry and fostering opportunities for talented tradeswomen.
