The organization offers several loan options including social enterprise, general business, innovation, youth and first time entrepreneur loans. 61 Blockhouse Road Placentia Mall Placentia, NL A0B 2Y0The Placentia Area Community Connections Housing Coalition is a registered not for profit group of volunteers of varying backgrounds. The committee works to prevent homelessness and improve access to safe, affordable housing in the Placentia/ Cape Shore area. The committee also advocates for government funding and have been recently successful in obtaining funding to hire a Housing Coalition Support Worker for the area. The Housing Coalition Support Worker is available to assist individuals with any housing support required and help navigate the system for government programs available to ensure safe, affordable housing is an option for everyone. The office is operating from the Placentia Chamber office in the Placentia Mall and the contact number is 709-227-5334.

This is achieved through the provision of support for tradeswomen with career services, employment supports, and networking. OAWANL has recently hired an Industry Partnership Specialist who will collaborate with companies to enhance the hiring of women apprentices and drive diversity in the skilled trades. The OAWANL team is looking forward to connecting with industry and fostering opportunities for talented tradeswomen.

Box 67 Placentia, NL A0B 2Y0The Royal Canadian Legion Dr William Collingwood Memorial Branch Thirty Three in Placentia serves veterans including military and RCMP members and their families while promoting remembrance and supporting the community. The branch organizes annual Remembrance Day and Memorial Day services and operates a building on Veterans Way that includes an auditorium available for community and social events with catering options. A bar open seven days a week features a display of military artifacts, creating a welcoming space for members and visitors.
