The College of the North Atlantic’s Office of Customized and Continuous Learning (CCL) is offering a Digital Tools and Job Search Workshop for Newcomers at Carbonear campus.
The Digital Tools and Job Search Workshop for Newcomers is tuition-free, 2-week (60 hours) training opportunity for Newcomers in the Province of Newfoundland & Labrador, offered through the College of the North Atlantic’s Office of Customized and Continuous Learning (CCL). This initiative is funded by the Department of Jobs, Growth and Rural Development.
Digital Tools is designed to provide participants that have entry-level experience with practical applications through hands-on use of word processing, spreadsheets, collaboration soft ware, email, and generative artificial intelligence (AI) for work purposes.
Job Search is intended to help participants prepare for a job search. Participants will create a resume, cover letter and will learn how to prepare for an interview.
Start Date: July 20, 2026
Deadline to Apply: July 10, 2026
Entrance Requirements: This course is open to Newcomers with a language proficiency of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5, CEFR B1 score or equivalent on a recognized test of English language proficiency.
Free placement testing is available through CNA.
