Placentia Chamber of Commerce Announces 2026–2027 Board of Directors

The Placentia Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its newly elected Board of Directors for 2026–2027, following the Annual General Meeting held on June 3, 2026.

The Chamber extends its sincere congratulations to the incoming Board and looks forward to another year of supporting and advocating for businesses throughout the Placentia Bay region.

We would also like to express our heartfelt appreciation to our outgoing Board members who are stepping away from board service. Special recognition goes to Angie Pittman and Karen Maher for their many years of dedicated leadership and commitment. We also thank Chris Moss and Brent Pomroy for their valued service over the past two years. Their contributions, professionalism, and passion have helped strengthen the Chamber and have left a lasting impact on our organization and the business community.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Chris Newhook of the Port of Argentia for serving as Chair of the election process during the Annual General Meeting. We thank Chris for his time, professionalism, and support in helping ensure a smooth and successful election.

A special thank you is also extended to our invited guests, Mayor Jamie Neville, who provided an update on the Town of Placentia, and MHA Sherry Gambin-Walsh, who shared insights into her role as Member of the House of Assembly and current provincial initiatives. We appreciate them taking the time to join us and engage with our members.

As the Placentia Chamber of Commerce celebrates its 40th Anniversary in 2026, we proudly reflect on four decades of supporting local enterprise, promoting economic growth, encouraging investment, and fostering collaboration throughout the region.

Since its founding in 1986 and incorporation in 2016, the Chamber has remained a strong voice for business, guided by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors and committed to creating opportunities that contribute to the economic and social well-being of our communities.
