Public Notice: Scheduled Quarry Blast at Port of Argentia

Port of Argentia wishes to inform the public that a scheduled quarry blast for rock production will take place at the Broad Head Cove Quarry, Argentia, between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. For your safety, we kindly ask all members of the public to avoid the area during this time.
Additionally, temporary road closures will be in effect on Backland Road and Andrews Avenue to accommodate increased heavy equipment traffic. Clear signage will be in place to indicate where the closures begin. The affected area is shaded in image below.
